Training is typically conducted on-site, and lasts anywhere from 1 - 5 days depending on your needs. Most customers require only 1 - 2 days of training, but we will stay as long as you need us.
Typically we'll review your current processes and evaluate how FocalPoint will fit into your processes. Disruption of service to your customers is avoided whenever possible.
The first part of FocalPoint rental software training is normally spent at the front counter. It is extremely important to get "front line" staff transitioned transparently from your customer's point of view.
The back office functionality is then reviewed. While the front counter is gathering the information needed during every transaction, this information is being recorded and is available for back-office procedures. Accounts Receivable and data exporting to third party accounting software is typically the bulk of this training phase.
Functionality in the shop maintenance and purchasing areas are covered. You have the option to create work orders and inspection sheets for items as they are returned. The service area training shows you how to handle these documents, as well as how to record repairs for items that either belong to the rental store or one of your customers.
